Staying Clean and Healthy Our Procedures and Protocols

At Hotel Gibbs, we believe that the safety of our guests and employees is more important than anything else. For this reason, we are committing ourselves fully to following all local, state, and CDC guidelines and recommendations. To mitigate the spread of COVID-19, we are holding ourselves to the highest standards of cleanliness, and maintaining social distancing measures in every possible facet of our operations. We guarantee that our entire hotel - including your own guest room - is properly cleaned and sanitized prior to your arrival.

    To maintain safe social distancing, we ask that all hotel guests only enter and utilize the elevator individually, or with their party.

    High activity surfaces - such as lobby doors, elevator buttons, luggage carts, countertops, and more - are being sanitized every hour.

  • Food and Beverage

    Our hot breakfast buffet has been temporarily suspended in accordance with public health orders, but limited grab-and-go items are available.

  • Our Dedicated Team

    The housekeeping team at Hotel Gibbs is following a strict checklist to ensure that all guest rooms are fully disinfected between each stay.

  • Staff Safety Protocols

    For our community’s safety, all of our team members are required to wear face masks and maintain social distancing measures.

Cleanliness List Within Guest Rooms
  • Surfaces such as furniture, doorknobs, phones, alarm clocks, and TV remote controls are cleaned with hospital-grade disinfectant.
  • All bathroom surface areas - including counters, mirrors, and fixtures - are fully sanitized between each stay.
  • All guest room bedding is changed out and freshly laundered between each stay.
  • High touch surfaces in the closet spaces - including hangers, irons, and ironing boards - are also carefully disinfected.
Our Common Areas

In addition to the hourly cleaning of all public areas, a sneeze guard has been installed at the front desk counter to ensure there is a sufficient barrier between you and our staff during check-in. In our fitness center, sanitizing wipes are provided for guests to clean off equipment between uses, while our staff continues to inspect and disinfect the equipment daily. Hand sanitizer stations have also been installed at each elevator landing for your convenience. The 1909 Taproom remains open and is serving customers with limited hours based on current state regulations and occupancy limits. To maintain social distancing, private tables within the restaurant are set apart at a minimum of 6 feet.
